How Obama Got Elected

Let’s start with Zogby’s numbers. The poll surveyed over 500 self-professed Obama voters and has an MOE of 4.4%, with 55% having a college degree and over 90% having a high-school diploma. It asked 12 multiple-choice questions; only 2.4% got at least 11 correct. Only .5% got all them correct.

• 57.4 could NOT correctly say which party controls congress (50/50 shot just by guessing)
• 81.8 could NOT correctly say Joe Biden quit a previous campaign because of plagiarism (25% chance by guessing)
• 82.6 could NOT correctly say that Obama won his first election by getting opponents kicked off the ballot (25% chance by guessing)
• 88.4% could NOT correctly say that Obama said his policies would likely bankrupt the coal industry and make energy rates skyrocket (25% chance by guessing)
• 56.1 % could NOT correctly say Obama started his political career at the home of two former members of the Weather Underground (25% chance by guessing).And yet…..
• Only 13.7% failed to identify Palin as the person their party spent $150,000 in clothes on
• Only 6.2% failed to identify Palin as the one with a pregnant teenage daughter
• And 86.9 % thought that Palin said that she could see Russia from her “house,” even though that was Tina Fey who said that!!

I know I shouldn’t be surprised, but I am. Again. I have serious doubts about the mental capabilities of anyone who fell for the “pie in the sky” message of the Obama campaign. But I, at a minimum, assumed that the people voting for him had attempted to inform themselves - seeing as how they believed so strongly and were so militant and so defensive and so gosh darn belligerent - and then decided to vote for him anyway. The fact that so many of them can’t even be bothered to put a little effort into the decision making process, interject a little critical thinking and logic into the equation - I’m sick all over again. There is no hope. There is no future - for any of us that want to succeed, create something, build something. The tide has officially turned and the unworthy out number us.

There isn’t even any respect for the process. Look at the idiots still rioting and protesting in SF/CA. How imbecilic are you when you scream “I’m going to kill you” at a bunch of people singing Amazing Grace? There is no tolerance on “the other side” for anything other than complete capitulation to their desires for no responsibility, no limits, no laws, no restrictions, no retaliation. But do we see a backlash? No. We’re expected to tolerate this sort of bigotry and prejudice, like we would tolerate a toddler’s temper tantrum in a toy store. What is the matter with these people? Dare I say they are “touched in the head”? This is not rational, mature behavior. They should all be locked up - I bet a lot of them would enjoy it. (And yes, that was a slur. I’ve put up with plenty, so can you.) It almost makes me wish those Evangelicals were right and they all will end up unpleasantly surprised on judgement day. Come on - not for being gay, for hateful intolerance, of course.

There is an illness in this country that is taking hold of the population - complacency. The Lefty Obamabots are demanding to remain child-like - unaccountable, undependable, unreliable. They have been lulled into a state of “gimme, gimme, gimme” by a culture that worships money and things, not God. They have no ideas, opinions or dreams, except for what the TV shows them. I don’t think they even know the difference between TV and reality. These are people that believe reality TV is reality! They don’t question anything except authority - but only when it tells them something they don’t want to hear. When it (ie Obama) says “money is coming your way”, they line up like addicts at a methadone clinic.

The Left is hungry for power - over all. And the only way they can get it is by taking control of every aspect of our lives. Who would have thought so many were willing to just give up. Well, I gotta’ tell you. I’m considering giving up and giving in and taking my Catholic, conservative, American family way the hell away from here, as fast as possible. The longer it takes the rest of us to give up the ghost, the more they’ll steal, destroy, desecrate, defile and disfigure. I can’t imagine how long it will take for them to do it - it’s taken most of Europe 50 years to figure out socialism doesn’t work and it may already be too late for them to turn it around. Why support it by standing by without fighting? Will there be anything worth saving?

You’d probably be downright mystified. ‘What is this they are speaking of? Where is this other-world America they speak of? Why isn’t everyone ‘happy, happy, joy, joy’ now that the chosen one is ascending?The economy? The war? The Congress? We want more hopenchange, they’ll say. Turn off the bad sounds. I can’t take it. So yes, they will be confused - for awhile. But if they keep watching. And listening. And eventually mature out of adolescence, they will realize how much they have been missing. How they have been misled. How they have been cheated out of an education, an opportunity, a realization and a future.

Bill Ayers and I are in agreement, on this one. If you’re used to watching Matthews and Olberman and Cooper and Blitzer and Couric and - my God the list goes on forever…, then a few minutes of FoxNews will leave you confused. But that’s a good thing. What’s wrong with a little critical thinking? As for everything else Bill Ayers stand for, well, he’s still a traitorous, slimeball failure of a terrorist, murderer, communist, opportunist, rich white kid from Chicago whose family bought his way out of prison. And in return for his good fortune and good luck, he’s instilling his same “America is the great evil” beliefs in your children. And getting paid handsomely for it. Plus, he has three, maybe four books coming out. Talk about capitalizing on your notoriety.

I’d keep on eye on Billy-boy if I were you - he may show up at a Barnes & Noble near you, now that he’s gone mainstream. If he shows up at any of mine, I’ll be there, draped in the flag, burning my B & N card. That’s if were still allowed to hold these kinds of protest when if the one takes office. They are buddies, you know.

Um, excuse me, but I have a question.  If, as I keep hearing, the election of Obama isn’t really a Liberal “mandate”, not the final nail in the Conservative coffin, the US is still a moderate nation, and there really is nothing to be afraid of, why are all the gay marriage militants protesting the gay marriage ban in California?  If the complete takeover of the Federal government by tax and spend, morally bankrupt, socially “progressive” and downright wonky Liberals is not the end of the world as we know it, then why are these yahoos still convinced that if they make enough noise, the California Supreme Court will just roll over the will of the voters – the same voters that voted for Obama, BTW – and remove the ban?  If the election of Obama (52%-48%) is a landslide, a revolution of the Left, then why is the approved ban (52%-48%) not the same?

Are you seeing now how it works?  If they like how you vote, you’re in the “in-crowd”.  If you step out of line, you’ll be brown bagging it on the quad for four years.  Well, it looks like brown bags for me.  The Left has no regard or concern for the rest of us.  They just want what they want.  And what they want is gay marriage, drug legalization, no God or religion, government takeover of free enterprise, government takeover of health care, government takeover of education (from birth through college) and there is no tolerance for anyone not on their side.  I mean, come on, they’re assaulting old ladies out there.  Is a little old lady holding a cross really a threat to anyone?  

Have you seen some of those people?  They look like a bunch of 1970’s London punk scene, heroin addict, “Sex Pistols” groupies - not the most savory bunch and not exactly the picture of health.  Don’t they understand they’re just damaging their own position by behaving so childishly?  Oh, there’s that word again - child.  I’m sorry if anyone is offended by the word but that is how these wack-jobs are acting - like children.  Why doesn’t someone just go in there with a bulldozer and shove ‘em out of the way?  Where do they get the right to do any of this?  Who the F@^* do they think they are?  The people voted.  It’s over. Except it’s not because they know some lame judge will overrule the vote - probably already has.  Welcome to Liberalism - coming to your entire nation soon.

I’ve already had an unconstitutional judicial ruling forced down my throat regarding gay marriage here in Sucks-a-chusetts.  And when we turned in enough signatures to get an amendment on the ballot, what did the legislature do – turned us down anyway.  So, the next time you’re wondering if maybe you – not me – made a mistake by voting Liberal/Democrat/Obama, take a look at Sucks-a-chusetts - it’s only a matter of time before they do something you disagree with, after all.  The MA legislature also passed a law allowing gay couples from other states to come here and get married – effectively removing the right of voters across the nation to decide for themselves.  The legislature acts with impunity here and the people simply don’t have the will to fight anymore.  (I do, though, take great delight in the fact the Connecticut now allows gay marriage.  Now all those NY couples that would have come to MA to get married now only have to go to Connecticut – all the money the state was counting on is now lost!)

I can’t tell you how reassuring it is to know that no matter what the electorate might wish for, ask for or question, the legislature is willing to completely disregard our will, even our existence – mostly because we’ve given them no reason to fear us.  Now they have the US Congress and the White House.  God, please don’t let us lose anyone on the US Supreme Court – or we’ll be screwed for sure.  We vote for them assuming they have our best interests at heart – but they have given no indication they do.  Look at Obama – no record, no history - except all the freaky friends - no idea what he’s going to push through now that Congress is his b@^*#, or maybe it’s vice versa, I can’t tell for sure yet.

But this is Pelosi’s crowd out in California, protesting their little hearts out because they want what the majority does not want.  What are the schools in California teaching anyway?  Do they even take a civics class?  Government?  The will of the people is the will of the people.  If we’re introducing the concept of vote do-overs, I want one on the national election.  Until then, those nuts out in California need to learn to just suck it up and get on with life, even when they don’t like the outcome of an election.  After all, that’s what everyone keeps telling me to do.

Yeah, yeah, I know - population centers - which brings me to my next point. Where did all the voter registration orgs focus all their efforts? Population centers. It may be legal, especially when it’s a strategy conceived by a bunch of lawyers, but it stinks of a fix. All those Liberals out there dancing in the streets, still, need to take a long hard look at this map and try to grasp the reality. We are not a Liberal nation. We are not a blue nation. Start recording C-Span, at least until Nancy cuts the cameras off. Pray that not a single Supreme Court Justice dies - under any conditions, suspicious or otherwise. Keep airsickness bags handy. And don’t give an inch.

I guess I finally figured out on my own why the Liberals are not as happy and joyful as I thought they’d be. They are freakin’ out. They fixed an election, they have no mandate, and they’ve just inherited an economic disaster created by their decades of their corrupt socialist policies. Not much reason to smile, is it? And here I thought Nancy Pelosi had gotten another Botox treatment - turns out she’s just that surprised, too.

On the negative side, it has to be said, is the vacuous but relentless Change mantra. He always leaves you panting on the edge of your seat waiting for the next sentence: change What? How? Why? that never comes. But you see, we Brits always at the cutting edge of crass sentimental politics have already had ten years of “Change” — a concept invented by our very own Tony Blair. And we are still here to tell the tale.
