GOPMom - Born and raised in the heart of the USA, Mom hails from Ohio. She attended Catholic schools as a child, which explains her high self-esteem and outstanding spelling capabilities. She then suffered through four (ok, five) torturous years at a small Liberal Arts college outside Cleveland, where she got her first taste of “coming up against the man” during her battle with the school over favorable grading policies within the political science department for students exhibiting Liberal leanings. She worked for the Ohio Republican Party in 1992 and interned for a Congressional candidate - and he was elected. A year in Europe followed college graduation, where Mom found herself running a bar in Prague for a group of young Americans who had more money than know-how. This was her first taste of success, as she managed to triple profits in one quarter. Upon returning to the glorious (and hot-water readily available) USA, Mom worked as a restaurant manager on Cleveland’s East Side and then as a catering manager downtown, where she met her future husband, a genius techie from England. They settled in the rural countryside near Cleveland, to live in wedded bliss and raise their only daughter. In 2004, Mom and family relocated to the Boston area, where the constant onslaught of Liberal propaganda left Wrench with no recourse but to set-up a blog for Mom, so that she wouldn’t keep him up at night, ranting about the absurdities of living in a blue state. This Website was started in 2006 as a place to publish her sometimes humorous conservative articles, all for your benefit. (More of that self-esteem, again.)
