Fairness Doctrine passes overnight?
So I pour myself a cup of coffee, turn on FoxNews and sit down to check blogs and…
HotAir.com and MichelleMalkin.com are down. It’s 7:45 am, EDT. But others indicate this was the case as early as 3:30 am.
On the face of it, pretty routine stuff. Except they’re both owned by Michelle Malkin. Except when either site is to undergo maintenance, both of these sites have always given advance notice.
Just sayin’.

Ed Morrissey wrote to say it looks like a DB problem, not a hack (at least at this point), and that they are working on it.

Ohhhh. Come on guys, throw us a bone. It’s raining here – what better way to spend the day than wondering about a conspiracy?

Both are back up – no explanation as of yet.

I doubt this is a simple maintenance issue.
I have been having my own issues with Hot Air. I lost my password needed to post comments. I attempt to request a new password, but I am never sent the confirmation link in my email. Apparently, this is a problem common with blogs powered by WordPress.
Hmmm, I’ve never had an issue with them. And we’re a wordpress blog and, although Wrench is a tech geek, we are quite happy. Of course, we’re nothing near HotAir.
BTW, I heard it was a database issue at their server.
