A Cataclysmic Obama Power Grab – Are you paying attention?
The firing by the Prez of the Inspector General of Americorps is corruption at its finest. And it should be the straw that broke the camel’s back when it comes to abuse of power and impeachable offenses.

President Obama is hoping you won’t notice his abrupt change of inspectors general over at Americorps, the government-run, taxpayer-subsidized “community service” boondoggle (which Republicans helped expand as part of the $6 billion GIVE/SERVE Act in March despite its wasteful track record. Thanks, Republicans).
With intervention from Michelle Obama, the Americorps inspector general was given the boot and replaced — for doing his job too well, it seems, and uncovering squandering of funds by favored contributors, educational institutions, and left-wing groups.
Remember when we said we needed to melt the phones in Washington to prevent TARP/Stimulus/Give-Serve? Well, now it’s time to melt the phones to insist on an investigation into every angle of this. And don’t forget to mention your opposition to Universal or Public or whatever they’re calling it Health at the same time. Yes, I know. We can sweep them all out of office in 2010/2012. But do we really want to give them that much time? And how about the amount of money they will squeeze out of us until then? Maybe enough to keep ACORN or Americorps or Universal Service or whatever they’re calling it going well into the future. Remember, they’re coming for your children!

I truly hope there is some legitimate evidence here. If not, this administration will make the previous one’s abuses and testing of power look like child’s play, and we may all need to duck for cover.
After watching Walpin during his multiple television appearances over the last few days and reading the excuses Obama has given for firing him, I’d say there is absolutely no evidence he couldn’t fulfill the contracted obligations. Now, whether he could follow the new “Obama” standard is another story entirely. APparently, possessing an ethical code is not part of the job description but being an Obama crony is.
Saw Walpin on Beck last night – he was brilliant. He’s willing to fight but he also has a great sense of humor and and knows the reality is that no one is going to go to bat for him. Oh well, there’s one gov’t employee I hope has a great pension.
As a side note, my 85 year old grandfather still goes tot he office 2 or 3 days a week, to the business he has been a partner in for 50+ years. He’s a sharp as a tack. You would think all those baby boomers who just watched their retirement funds might be a little more concerned with this completely fraudulent case of “ageism”.
Obama is an ass. And now even more people know it. How long until he makes the same claims about more of our Supreme Court Justices? I think he was just testing the waters.
This was completely a case of unconstitutional power grabbing and absolute tyrannical political firing.
There is no way that there is any LEGITIMATE excuse for a move such as this, except, as you say, Mom, the testing of the waters on what he can get away with.
But we already know that… the press will let him get away with anything, and therefore so will the corrupt Congress.
It’s time to clean house, folks! Clear them all out and make them earn their way back in!
Obama and Michelle have been committing crimes for over a decade. Both had their law licenses revoked, although the records are sealed as to why, but this does not happen frequently, so the charges which must have been proven, have got to be very serious. He has committed dozens of impeachable offenses already, and many conservatives are calling for his impeachment or removal by other means. He has sold the US out to all of our enemies. What can an individual citizen do? For starters, become aware of what he is doing, attend July 4th protest rallies, donate to conservative groups trying to oppose this diktator, write letters to congress people and senators, newspaper opinion pages, internet spots. If this doesn’t succeed, take to the streets.
