Abridgement of Freedom will continue under the President's new SCOTUS nominee. He has hidden her radical activist tendencies behind her compelling personal story. The media loves a good story and won't let this one go. Unfortunately, this potential justice's willingness to use personal background as a reason to overrule legal precedence and overlook legislative intent will further erode freedoms. Without an elected legislature to make and modify law, the courts will become defacto (unelected) legislatures. Sotomayor seems to believe this is justified.

The DC press corps as well as the political ruling class are just agog over this nomination though and they've said some strange things. For a top ten list of some of the strangest, you can look at: http://firstconservative.com/blog/political-humor/political-humor-the-sotomayor-season-of-silly-statements

Great (and applicable to our current government) quote at the top.

Always has been one of my favorite founding fathers' quotes.

As a completely nonpolitical sidenote about the website's design, have you ever thought about making the embedded links in articles stand out a little more, maybe by using a slightly lighter shade of blue? I can never quite tell where the links are.
