UN Reports That Muslims Are at Risk of Racial Holocaust

This might just possibly be the funniest thing you will read all week. And by funny, I don’t mean “Ha Ha”, I mean “do these clams taste funny to you?”
The Organisation of Islamic Conference at the UN contends that Muslims are at risk of a racial holocaust.
The group is pushing to make “defamation of Islam” a global criminal offence.

When you refer to them as “they” you make it sound like you’re referring to the same group of people in the first half of your sentence as in the second.
That’s not the case.
The “they” that are at risk include peaceful followers of Islam AND radical Islamic terrorists.
The “they” that are pi$$ing the rest of the world off are radical Islamic terrorists.
I would agree that it is a most unfortunate case that radical Islamic terrorists are responsible for the ill will directed at peaceful followers of Islam. However, that does not excuse people for unwarranted aggression towards an undeserving group. Peaceful followers of Islam are “victims” of radical Islamic terrorisism just as much as we are. They are victims because they are being blamed and persecuted for attrocities that they had nothing to do with; attrocities they neither committed nor condoned.
This would be akin to Hitler picking out a handful of Jews that just so happened to affirm his wildest accusations and using them to justify the genocide of millions of Jewish people. You could do that with virtually any group if you were to include historical evidence.
There is nothing “funny” about this. Not funny “haha” or funny like “do these clams taste funny.” That, in my opinion, is a dispicable way to discuss the real life suffering of fellow, peaceful, human beings.
As far as the real terrorists go, I hope they get what they deserve. I know that Mom will try to (mis)construe this as a letter of support for terrorists - that is not the case.
