This is ghastly. If you are a parent with elementary schoolchildren, you will hit the roof. A teacher was caught on tape by Finnish documentarians making a film about Barack Obama’s supporters. The teacher, Diantha Harris, uses the classroom as a propaganda vehicle to shove her politics down the children’s throats.

It’s near-impossible for teachers not to interject opinion at times, and often by mistake, but this woman takes it over the edge, and I agree with Michelle Malkin here, which is rare. I agree, this woman, at the VERY least needs to make a public apology to this little girl.
I believe teachers, like reporters, need to provide neutral facts. If there is opinion to be gained from that, it’s up to the student.
LOUDelf, How can we possibly expect our teachers to remain neutral, or at least neutral in the classroom, when we have Chris Matthews saying it is the journalists job to ensure the Obama presidency is a success? Or “community organizers” proposing American classrooms be used to teach children radical politics? There is no neutral anymore - not if you care at all. The Liberals have turned politics in America into a them or us - which is exactly what they wanted. It just so happens they got lucky this time with the economic crisis they created. But you’re spot on - after 4 years of Obama, they’ll be begging us to take over and make things right. In the meantime, we can’t give them an inch. Or the benefit of the doubt.
My favorite story this week was the MLB agents pushing for signing bonuses before January - to avoid new tax rates. Oh yeah, you’re telling me the professional ball players, who overwhelmingly supported Obama (at least publicly), are now diving for cover. Typical. I wonder how Hollywood stars will work out contracts now. Ownership of films in lieu of salaries? Remember all the Libs on the site accusing us of being the rich people that shelter income? Look at ‘em all running now. Well, our next venture will be registered abroad.
Chris Matthews is a disgrace to journalists.
Here are the e-mails for the school board where Ms. Harris teaches. It was originally stated that she was a teacher in Asheville, so I wrote them. I got a very nice note back saying that she had not taught there since 2004. They also added that they felt her actions were reprehensible. She teaches in Fayetteville. The e-mails are:

Am I the only one who noticed this crappy teacher mentioned Lord and Jesus in a public school? Where is the ACLU? Those children have been permanently damaged - they have been exposed to religious beliefs on top of political persecution. Where is the ACLU? Or could it be that the ACLU only shows up when the parents have the resources needed to publicize their case?
Brace yourself, this woman won’t lose her job - the only way out of the teacher’s union is in a box. And we’ll have to witness more and more situations like this as the Obama administration comes into power. Unless, of course, they no longer allow “journalists” into classrooms.
Warn your children. Prepare them to defend themselves - not in the classroom but in the principal’s office, where I’m sure many of them will be sent when they refuse to tow the line. Or, better yet, visit the nearest Christian school and find out if they have openings. The more that enroll, the lower the tuition will stay. Plus, most schools will have financial aid.
The future of public education in America looks very grim. Bill Ayers is in the house!
