Did Obama break the law?

1/ I am not familiar with real estate law in Chicago or Illinois. The real estate professionals I have spoken to about this all say the same thing. "Possibly illegal, but I am not licensed in that state".
2/ Rezko has been convicted on 16 counts of political power mongering. There is every indication that this deal is #17. A significant amount of value was transferred from Rezko to Obama, in return for what? Rezko is telling the federal investigators as I type.

Obama has stated several times that the lot and the house deal were unconnected, apart from being purchased from the same owner. This articles proves that Obama lied (which is a habit if his) about the connections. Rezko and Obama had to work together to get this deal done.

I suggest you read this article next:

Degrees of Separation: Obama - Rezko - Auchi - Hussein

This article may explain how Rezko (broke at the time) got the money to help finance this deal.

Welcome back A4A. I did take a bit of a break and wow, am I glad I'm well rested. It's like Christmas came early, isn't it?

How long do you think it will take for all the Obamabots to drop out of the stratosphere of victory and land in the cesspool that birthed The One?

Mom,
I don't see much activity since late Nov; so, I hope you and Wrench are taking a long hiatus and enjoying yourselves.

I just wanted to let you know I put a link to this FANTASTIC article on Citizen Wells blog as a reference to the goings on in Chicagoland of late and speculation about the subpeonas for the documents in the land deal.

Merry Christmas to you and yours.

Esqmom - I am not sure.
Taking 10' away from the Rezko owned lot has made it more difficult to develop.

I am not sure what the easement requirements are for a residential multi family lot. Every municipality has different guidelines.

If the zoning board operates like the Governor's office, the Obamas can surely afford to block rezoning or planning permission for the lot. Now they can even afford to buy the lot themselves without needing a Rezko subsidy.

Under current zoning is the remaining lot large enough for development-either single family or multi-family?
