Did Obama break the law?

1/ I am not familiar with real estate law in Chicago or Illinois. The real estate professionals I have spoken to about this all say the same thing. “Possibly illegal, but I am not licensed in that state”.
2/ Rezko has been convicted on 16 counts of political power mongering. There is every indication that this deal is #17. A significant amount of value was transferred from Rezko to Obama, in return for what? Rezko is telling the federal investigators as I type.

Obama has stated several times that the lot and the house deal were unconnected, apart from being purchased from the same owner. This articles proves that Obama lied (which is a habit if his) about the connections. Rezko and Obama had to work together to get this deal done.

I don’t see much activity since late Nov; so, I hope you and Wrench are taking a long hiatus and enjoying yourselves.

Esqmom – I am not sure.
Taking 10′ away from the Rezko owned lot has made it more difficult to develop.

I am not sure what the easement requirements are for a residential multi family lot. Every municipality has different guidelines.

If the zoning board operates like the Governor’s office, the Obamas can surely afford to block rezoning or planning permission for the lot. Now they can even afford to buy the lot themselves without needing a Rezko subsidy.
